Senior Care Outreach partners with care providers such as Silver Services, LLC (www.silverservicesllc.com) and Visiting Angels to provide care. Senior Care Outreach sponsors seniors through grants who may not be able to otherwise afford services and pays the care provider directly, at a negotiated, discounted rate.
Over 95% of your donations go directly towards sponsoring seniors for care services. The majority of our overhead, such as marketing materials, website, and advertising, is covered through partnerships with marketing companies, non-profit platforms, volunteers, and our care providers.
Senior Care Outreach (SCO) was founded by Kevin Ellis, while Silver Services, LLC is owned and operated by Nicole Ellis. We believe in total transparency regarding this relationship. To ensure our mission always comes first, we have implemented a strict Conflict of Interest Policy. All partnership decisions are governed by our independent Board of Directors, and Kevin Ellis recuses himself from any votes or discussions involving the selection, contract terms, or payment of Silver Services, LLC.
No. Our goal is to provide the best possible care for our seniors. While Silver Services is a primary partner due to their high quality of care and shared mission, we maintain a "Non-Exclusive" partnership model. This means we are always open to vetting other care providers to ensure that our grant recipients have access to a variety of choices and the most geographical coverage possible across Arizona.
The IRS requires that non-profits do not pay more than "Fair Market Value" for any service. Before contracting with Silver Services, LLC, our Board conducted a market analysis to ensure the hourly rates provided to our grant recipients are at or below the standard rates in the local area. In many cases, Silver Services provides a "Community Impact Discount" to our charity, allowing our grant dollars to stretch further than they would with a traditional commercial provider.
Silver Services was chosen because of their proven track record in non-medical in-home care and their willingness to accept our grant-based payment structure, which many larger agencies are not equipped to handle. This synergy allows us to move seniors from the "waitlist" to "active care" much faster than if we had to negotiate individual contracts with multiple third-party vendors for every single grant awarded.
